I own several Silver Ridge short sleeve blouses. 5, to be exact. What I have discovered is that the shirts fit differently and are made with a slightly different fabric, depending on the color you purchase. (I just hate that!) I am guessing that is because they switched to a slightly different fabric/cut from one year to the next.I own blouses in the following solid colors: Velvet Morning, Black, Burnt Henna, Oxide Blue, and Fossil.
The Burnt Henna, Oxide Blue, and Fossil (all purchased from Cabelas.com) may very well be the previous "model year", if you know what I mean. I purchased the Velvet Morning and Black from Amazon.com. The Burnt Henna, Oxide Blue, and Fossil fit beautifully. The best fitting blouses I own. The material is slightly stretchy. I wear a size large. I have an hour glass figure with a somewhat athletic, muscular build. The cut of this blouse is very flattering if you have a smaller waist. Because of the cut and stretch in the fabric, it does not cut into my arms (which can be a problem if you have any biceps to speak of.)
The other two colors (Velvet Morning and Black) are also essentially the same cut, but the material is different so they don't fit quite the same. The material is kind of a rip-stop nylon that has very little give compared to the other 3 colors I purchased. This results in some binding in the arms and shoulders when I lift my arms. Not a deal breaker, but I don't like the fit as well as the first 3 colors I purchased. It lacks stretch, so it's not as comfortable as the first 3. It is frustrating when companies keep "improving" a product from one year to the next, only to ruin a product. I wish they had stayed with the original fit and fabric. After looking at all the colors available on Amazon, it looks like all the solid colors are the "new" (albeit inferior, in my opinion) design with the less stretchy fabric.
If you are looking at the same style of shirt in the "Multi-plaid" variety, beware that they fit COMPLETELY different than the solid styles. For me the Large in the plaid was way too small and the x-large was like a tent. In my opinion, very poor cut and design on the plaid version of this blouse. Not wearable for me.
