I installed this on my AMD 65 a couple weeks ago and have taken it to the range several times since.First off,as far as ergonomics go,whether you install a vertical grip or not,it's a vast improvement over the classic AMD 65 handguard and grip. The rail goes on easily and it's got a rock solid fit.No rattling,no loose bolts (I used blue loctite on 'em)and best of all it does not heat up as bad as other AK rails I've purchased.(Even after bump firing a 75 round drum in the Arizona summer heat!) Working at a range, I get to try out different weapons with a variety of rails, and as far as quality goes, this is definitely up there with other US made rails costing upwards of $250. I highly recomend this product for your AMD 65,use loctite on the bolts and use rail covers and you will not be disappointed. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "UTG PRO AMD-65 Tactical Quad Rails" are high quality item.
