I purchased these pants to wear flyfishing/backpacking. We typically pack in around 8 miles to where set up camp and I needed something lighter than jeans, which get quite heavy after crossing the stream a couple times. These pants worked perfectly. They are so thin that they barely hold any water, and they dry very quickly.
**I will caution though, these will NOT keep out stinging nettles!
These are a great buy for a wading fisherman. I also bought a pair of Teva Churn shoes, which together made for an ideal lightweight wading combination.
