Rebound Racer offers powerful support for any sport in a sleek, seam-fee design.Moving Comfort Women's Rebound Racer Bra, Grape Soda Heather, 34C Review
I bought this for a weekend-long event at a gym. I already own the Moving Comfort Vixen C/D and I love it, but I needed another bra and wanted to try something different. I loved the look of the Rebound Racer; I have a small frame but a bigger bust, so it's very difficult to find high impact sports bras that fit properly, look good, and minimize bounce, all for a decent price. The fact that this bra was actually available in my regular bra size (it's kind of hard to find) was also pretty awesome. Anyway, after weeks of comparing and trying on other bras from other brands, I decided to go for this one, and I'm very happy I did. This bra is flattering and supportive without squishing everything in (no uniboob) or flattening too much. I didn't have any issues with bounce or show-through, and the entire weekend was all high impact activities. The RR also looks better under my shirts than the Vixen because the neckline is a bit lower and it's round instead of the Vixen's v-neck, and it's smooth all over (the Vixen has seams down the front that can look awkward under tighter shirts). As I was reading reviews I saw that a lot of people said the bra was tight and/or difficult to get on. This is partially true. The bra has three rows of hooks in the back just like most regular bras. I'm used to my bras being on the tightest set of hooks, but when I did that with this bra it felt too tight, so I moved it to the middle set of hooks and it felt a lot better. The straps are adjustable as well, so you can customize the fit however you want. Once I got it adjusted, it didn't feel tight or uncomfortable at all. In fact, at that gym event, I had it on for a little over 18 hours straight and felt absolutely no discomfort whatsoever. On the contrary, it felt great! Getting it on and off can be a little tricky, but there are lots of different things you can do. I found it's easiest to pull it on over my head and then hook it once it's on, but if that's not easy for you, you can try leaving the bra hooked and pulling out the straps (they have a little velcro on them and loop through the front of the bra, but they come all the way out, so you can pull it on almost like a tube top and then refit the straps; it's super easy and quick).
As to how the bra performs, well, this one had a trial by fire, so to speak. It was literally between 95 and 102 degrees all day (and part of the night), with very high humidity. The gym wasn't air conditioned and there were a lot of people (a lot of excess body heat), so I would literally stand still and end up drenched in sweat. Gross, yeah. Despite that, the bra never felt slippery or slimy or gross. It never moved because of all the sweat, I never had to adjust it because it had gotten too wet and lost its grip or anything like that. And even though I was drenched, at least the part of me with the bra on felt okay. Not dry (it would have been asking a bit too much), but definitely not disgusting and damp. And as I mentioned before, nothing moved and nothing showed, even when the bra was soaked with sweat.
Long story short, this is an amazing bra that keeps you comfortable and reasonably dry even in extreme conditions. It is a little tight until you adjust it to suit you. Experiment with getting it on and off and you'll find something that works for you. It's flattering, comfortable, seems very durable, looks good under shirts or by itself, and the color is great (I got the orange one). Definitely worth the money.
