Sugoi Men's Piston 200 Tight Review

I really am torn about these tights (literally). I have been using them for almost a month now and have 314 miles (between cycling and running) on them. Within the first 3 days, the compression artwork on the upper left quad had totally peeled off (and I hadn't even washed them). The compression artwork on the rightside quad is almost peeled off now, but lasted a bit longer.

About a week into these tights, I had a seam rip about 1/2 inch of stitching out on the leftside calf while pulling them on. I wear a medium tight and these are arguably one of the smaller mediums I have had - but the compression is good - very good.

For comparability, my other experience with compression tights is a pair of 2XU Elite tights - the compression on the Sugois' is slightly tighter, but this could be due to the tights fitting a bit smaller. If I buy another pair again in the future I will probably get a large to see if that makes a difference. Another small annoyance is that there is just the slightest bit of bunching at the knees - something that I have never had an issue with while wearing my 2XUs. Additionally it is worth mentioning that the seam for these tights goes straight up the middle - which could create some chafing problems for some folks - I just body glide up and do fine, but revisiting this design and doing something like a groin area panel (like 2XU or CW-X) would be nicer.

Last week these developed a small rip on the right buttock - it looks like perhaps it might have been caused by rubbing - possibly against my bike saddle, so I am unsure whether to fault these tights, but I would think they should be able to hold up to a little friction and I haven't snagged them on anything.

Aesthetically these tights look great, but with peeling artwork, I think Sugoi needs to do a little quality control.

For usage reference I usually do 25-40 miles cycling with these and 5-10 miles on my running workouts.
