Yes, this harnesses is incredibly light and compact. However, the industry has caught up and the design is no longer as unique as it once was, so you really are paying a premium for the Arcteryx branding.

A few annoyances: the lower tie-in point is badly designed and doesn't always self center, and neither the lower tie-in and the belay loop are as well-reinforced as I'd like to see in such an expensive harness.

In conclusion: yes it's a great harness for some things and if you really need it you already know why, but if you're just browsing here because of the Arcteryx reputation, a Corax or Couloir would be the more practical choice (seriously, I use the couloir for 90% of my gym, snow, and low 5th alpine climbing)

I like to hike year round - but in the Summer, I get hot and sweaty. This stylish shirt is awesome for wicking away moisture and keeping one relatively comfortable, even when is is HOT outside. After receiving and using it, I actually purchase a second one I liked it so much. It is body hugging, so the XL fit me a little snug... but not tight enough to justify a 2XL (if they even make that size). I am 6'1" and 210 lbs. On the down side, this garment is a little pricey... I still paid it though - twice! It's that good. Enjoy!

Mountainsmith Red Rock 25 Backpack (Midnight Blue) Review

While I did not buy this bag off of Amazon, I would recommend it to anyone. The bag is lightweight and comfortable, and easily carries essential gear for day long packs. The adjustable hip and chest straps keep the pack snug while clambering over rocks. I carry a 6L water bag with me and still have plent of room for other items. Nice pack overall.

When I was looking for a carbide 3-die set, I found that I didn't read the description carefully enough.

I received a single sizing die instead of the 3-die set. It was very easy to return that die to the vendor.

Then, went back to Amazon and I made sure that I purchased the 3-die set. The price difference was minimal.

Oh, by the way, the the carbide die makes it very easy to size your cartridge cases without having to use any lubricant. A great product.

Nemo Equipment 2011 Fillo Luxury Pillow (Green) Review

I just used this pillow for a week of canoe camping in Quetico Park, Ontario. I used the larger size since space and weight weren't an issue (the smaller is about 4 inches shorter with the same width). What a brilliant design! There is a sturdy air lock which is easy to blow up and seal. The closed-cell foam cover is very comfortable and eliminates the bouncey air-pad feel. Although there are shock cords on the back that allow you to roll up your jacket for extra loft, I found this unneccessary. And it has it's own attached stuff sack that hides inside the pillow case, no extra ditty bag to loose!

My last pillow was a Thermarest Compressible Pillow. It's filled with open cell foam that became clumpy after the first wash. The Nemo pillow came out of the washer (on gentle cycle, cold) unscathed. The Nemo pillow compresses to LESS THAN HALF the volume of the Thermarest and is roughly the same weight. This is probably the most ingenious camping product I've found since my Jet Boil. I plan on purchasing a sleeping pad from either Nemo or Exped to replace my current ultralight camping cot. GREAT PRODUCT!

This is a very good pair of Tae Kwon Do shoes, that gets the job done. It has very good grip on the hard terrazzo floor on typically work out on, while still allowing me great mobility to kick even on spinning hook kicks. They are quite comfortable and are very light weight; the weight is very important to me as I do not want to practice kicking in a heavy shoe. After using these shoes twice a week, 90 minutes at a time, for 3 months, I still see no noticeable wear and tear. The shoes I've had previously from Pine Tree fell apart much more easily than these Adidas'. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that the laces are short. It's hard to get a good knot in (I typically double-knot) and the shoe unties every now and then. This is a minor quibble, but a quibble none-the-less. Still, I highly recommend this shoe.

Galco KT440B King Tuck IWB Holster Review

I would probably give the KingTuk 5 stars if I was trying to conceal a smaller pistol, like LCP size. I bought this for my XDm 3.8 Service, definitely a full size pistol.

The holster by itself: great quality fit and finish, nice leather, kydex fits my gun perfectly. The kydex cover leaves a small portion of the trigger guard, behind the trigger, exposed; but this doesn't bother me at all. If you insist on your holster covering the entire trigger guard, check with Galco about your model before ordering. Because of the shape and location of the clips, it is very difficult to put the holster on - you can't just slide it inside your waistband and clip it in. You have to either struggle with it behind your back for a few minutes, or do what I do and put your belt through your pants, then clip the holster on BEFORE pulling up your pants and tightening your belt. The height the holster hangs off the clips is adjustable, but only the last (highest) setting works - on all other settings, the mouth of the holster is below the waist of your pants, making reholstering a chore, and impossible to do fast. No adjustment for cant.

This part only applies to using the KingTuk with a full size gun: It is as comfortable as an IWB concealment holster and full size gun can be - which isn't saying too much. I have been wearing it at the 4:30 position, but I could totally see buying a lefty model and using it for small of back carry. At the 4:30 position, the grip prints somewhat. More cant would probably cure this, but cant is not adjustable. I may try adjusting the back clips to higher screw holes (so the front rides lower = more cant) to fix this. My pants bulge out unnaturally at the kydex sheath, if you look closely, you can tell have a gun in my waistband, even when tucked.

If you have to IWB concealed carry a full sized gun, your options are limited, and most are very uncomfortable. This is the best of your (bad) choices. People say the Crossbreed Supertuck is better, but they appear to be 95% identical. How could te CBST be so much better?

Bottom line - you'll probably spend $500 on different concealment holsters trying to find something to conceal your full size gun confortably, and never be happy with the results, so why not just get a $500 subcompact gun and a kingtuk to start with?
If you have to conceal a full sized gun IWB, this is your best bet (CBST excepting, haven't owned one yet - the 8 week wait turned me off!)
