Schrade SCHF1 Extreme Survival Special Forces Fixed Blade Knife, with Nylon Sheath Review

I bought one of these knives a few months ago before they were available on Amazon. Like other reviewers, I was surprised how BIG the knife is. In fact, I'll go ahead and say it's TOO big for delicate work. You won't want to use this knife for carving small, precise cuts in wood, for example.

There is a custom knife maker who makes a similar knife that costs several hundred dollars. These are a great bargain. But they do have two major drawbacks, in my opinion. One is the size, but more importantly, the serrated portion of the blade is a HUGE drawback for me. Serrations are great for cutting rope, but for any other type of cutting, a plain edge is best. When doing heavy cutting with a knife, the closer you get to the handle, the more leverage you have, and the safer it is to make the cut. By placing the serrations right against the handle, this forces you to use a part of the blade farther away, and consequently, you have less leverage.

The knife comes with a small screwdriver kit inside the handle, but most people will want to remove that and replace it with more traditional survival knife contents like fish hooks, matches, fishing line, etc.

One big plus that sets this knife apart from other hollow handle knives is that the handle and blade are one solid, continuous piece of metal. In other hollow handle knives, the handle and blade are separate pieces joined together with bolts, welds, glue or other means, creating a potentially dangerous point of failure. This knife does not suffer from that weakness.

If the blade were 3 inches shorter and had no serrations, I'd have given it a solid 5 star rating. Good news is, Schrade makes a smaller version without the serrations. I have one on order and will review it soon. I expect it will earn the 5 stars, but I'll have to see it in person first.

Cold Steel Rajah III Folding Knife Review

If you are a knife lover you will enjoy the Rajah III. I must admit that I am partial to the Cold Steel Rajahs. I have all three. I am keeping the Rajah I as a collectible, but I use the Rajah III as my go to EDC and my Rajah II as my go to camping knife.
Why should you get the Rajah III? I love the quick deploy aspect that is similar to the Emerson wave. When you pull this knife out of your pocket the thumb plate will hook on your pocket and deploy the knife as it comes out of your pocket. If you ever think that you might use a knife in a self defense situation, the Rajah III will be ready to use in a heart beat. The only thing I would change is my personal preference for a satin finish. Get the knife. You won't be sorry.

So I just got these today but they fit really nicely and were much lighter than my older pumas I believe the night fox edition. The colors are poppin as usual. The heel is snug which in like and the curl from heel to toe is suited to for a more curved foot which was good for me, maybe not you though. The only thing I would complain about is the support in the ankle though I have weak ankles so we shall see how they hold up to the trails.

Pearl Izumi Women's Aurora Splice 3 Quarter Tight, Black, X-Small Review

Considering the expense of these tights compared to other brands, I am not that impressed with the fit or fabric of this style. They tend to sag in the crotch area and the waist drawstring is not very strong. If you have larger hips and a small waist (like a lot of women) this style may not be the best for you. The fabric will show all your 'lumps and bumps' and if you need a little more support you will need to wear compression tights underneath.

I love this knife, it is a great product, made in America (which I like) and will hold an edge like crazy. This is the second one I have purchased and am still using one that is about 10 years old.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that the photo is wrong. It is not the one with the wooden handle, but the rubberized one (which is better anyway).

So just be careful, if you want the wood handle, this is not the right knife.

Gerber 30-000588 MP600 ST Sight Tool Review

This model has a lot of great features for military personnel. (I won't list them all because they're in the description.) I bought it for the sight tool, but the scraper tool is by far my favorite. I used it to clean a number of weapons and it cut through baked-on carbon that had obviously been there for a long time. One of the best weapon cleaning tools in my arsenal.

Velo Orange 700c 45mm Hammered Alloy Fender Review

Pros:
Look great (get lots of compliments)
Unique
Have excellent coverage (really keep water off....and snow as of late)
No rattling (make sure your connections are properly isolated and tight!)
Easy to install (really I had to drill 1 hole, those that had a hard time installing these either have little mechanical aptitude, can't read instructions, or didn't measure properly before ordering)
Decent instructions.....really it's a set of fenders. Took less time to install these than the plastic fenders (planet bike) they replaced. There is a decent step by step and pictures.

Lightweight

Cons: Not quite enough hardware, I needed some longer bolts and additional nuts to install my fenders. Just know you might have to make a trip to the hardware store. The hardware that is included is good quality though!

I bought this ball for my girlfriend. I let her pick out the color. She chose the color scheme due to it looking like rasta colors in the picture online. When receiving the ball in person I see that the ball does not look like anything like the picture does. It looks even better. The color scheme are so nice and look very tie dye, which my girlfriend absolutely loves. My girlfriend is a beginner bowling she likes the starting weight and feel of the ball.
