I bought these to go mountain biking late in the day when it goes from sun to dark and although the do not go as dark as my oakley polarized they go dark enough and I can use them with lights in the dark without having to switch lens or take them off. I have also tried them for running and raquetball and they work flawlessly. Going uphills on the road bike they do fog up some but I have not had any sunglasses that do not. The tint change is extremely useful early in the morning/late at night. If its the middle of the day and you want something more dark then go with the darker shades not this. Have not had a problem with quality but have only used them about 20 times. I am very pleased with them. I will say that the nose piece is more comfortable on my oakley radars but those are 250+ these are much cheaper. My Oakley have lasted 3-4 years and have only had to replace the rubber nose I will see how long these last.

Coleman 52-Quart Xtreme Chest Cooler (Blue) Review

I camp a great deal and was looking for a cooler that will keep camp foods cold for several days. The importance of the length of time the ice lasts is crucial since I often travel to remote areas where the nearest store that sells ice could be 15 miles which doesn't sound far but when you have to make that trip every day or two it gets old quick. This cooler was the best of the lot from reviews I have read without spending $200 on a pro grade cooler. This cooler is ok - it will keep food cold for a couple of days if the temp is moderate and if you minimize opening the cooler, store it in a shady spot (not in your hot car). It is an okay cooler that will serve casual users well. I just might end up laying out the money for a really good cooler though.

These shorts are a FANTASTIC BUY. I will definitely look to Prana for my next pair of climbing shorts.

DURABILITY:

I purchased these shorts specifically for outdoor rock-climbing. I was a little leery of how thin they were, but Prana is known for manufacturing tough clothing intended for climbing, and the labels reassured me that the synthetic weave was strong enough to withstand tough abrasion, so I decided to let them perform before judging them...

...and WOW have they performed. So far I've worn them on three separate trips to the mountains. I've spent at least a dozen hours climbing, scraping, and wedging with them on granite and sandstone rock, I've worn them hiking for hours, I've sat with them on stone, gravel, and concrete, and I've worn a full climbing rack over them (with cams, carabiners, tools, chalk, etc) for hours. They've also been through 4 wash cycles so far.

The result of all of this abuse so far: minimal wear! There are absolutely no tears or holes, the fabric still feels relatively new, there are very few loose threads, and there is minimal pilling from abrasion.

FIT/FEEL:

Again, I purchased these shorts for outdoor rock-climbing, knowing that I wanted an item that was light-weight and unrestrictive. I could not be happier with the fit. The material is the right combination of light and stretchy such that it almost feels like you are wearing nothing at all. Even when wearing a climbing harness on top of the shorts, they feel almost like they aren't there. What's more, the nylon, although extremely rugged, feels soft and light against the skin. Even during the strangest contortions, the highest high-steps, and the deepest squats, these shorts do not pull, constrict, or otherwise remind me that I am wearing clothing. I don't know how they do it, but thank you modern science for producing magical fabrics like this. The only time that I notice them is when I have to scrape my lower body (covered from waist to just below my knees by the shorts) against a wall, and my skin is perfectly protected from any abrasion.

LOOK:

The shorts look good. After a day of cragging, hiking, and camping, I don't feel at all weird about going into town and sitting down at a restaurant with these shorts on. Even the residue of chalk is somewhat subdued because of the coloring.

There are many reasons for having one of our canoe/kayak covers. The fabric is unbeatable. Vortex Canoe/kayak covers are made with the best marine fabric available. The fabric is marine polyester that is treated and sealed in multiple ways. Specifically, it is double polyurethane coated on the bottom, or down side, as well as UV protected and mildew protected. Polyester has a very rich color and holds up to UV exposure very well. It also is very strong, resists stretching, retains it shape well. It has a very 'high end' look and feel, in addition to being quite heavy duty. The material is 600d. Most covers like this you will find are 300d or 150d, which are proportionally 1/2 and 1/4 as heavy and as heavy duty.These completely enclose the canoe/kayak. These have a zipper that runs roughly 1/2 way down one side, making it very easy to install and remove. These are fairly weatherproof, but not totally waterproof. They are excellent at keeping your canoe/kayak clean. They are excellent at keeping out bugs, leaves, etc, as well as most water. These have a zipper, and it is hard to keep all water out, given the zipper, and the fact that it has seams.What really makes these worthwhile is that it takes a lot of the maintenance out of kayaking and canoeing. When spring rolls around and you can get out your canoe or kayak and pull it out of the cover and use it ..without having to dump wet leaves out of it, or water, or snow, etc..it is really nice...Or, in the summer, if you keep your kayak/canoe outside and do not have water in it..and mosquitos, it is also really really nice. We recommend these highly to anyone who has a canoe or kayak.Please see pictures.

This is not a disposable type cover. It is made for years and years of use. It has a 5 year warranty. This cover is 13' long, and will accomodate up to a 9' girth.

BRAND NEW 13' VORTEX CANOE/KAYAK COVER Review

This arrived today so this is an initial day review.

The fabric is relatively thin compared to other patio covers that I use for patio furniture in the back yard. (For example: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HCSMOW/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I have a 12 1/2 foot kayak (Necky Sky 2) and the cover is just barely long enough to fit it. There is more than enough width, but the length was close enough that for a few minutes I was sure it would not fit. I was able to slip it on, though, and I am pretty happy that there isn't a lot of extra material at the ends. I'd say that a 12 1/2 foot Kayak (mine is max 28" wide) is at the very upper end of what will fit.

The material is thin - though the description says "HEAVY DUTY 600D WATERPROOF FABRIC", I don't think it would stand up to several seasons of direct sunlight as well as the patio furniture covers I have bought here (e.g., Veranda Patio Table & Chair Set Cover, Rectangular/Oval) which have much thicker heavier duty fabric. The cover does completely enclose the boat to keep it clean and free of insects, and when I poured water over it the water beaded up and I could brush it off w/out the cover seeming to get soaked. The zipper is well constructed - not heavy duty per-se, but will do the job. There is a five year warranty on the cover, so that does mitigate my concerns about its ability to stand up to repeated summers of extended sun exposure, and is part of the reason why I decided on four rather than three stars.

There is a handle at either end of the cover to help you move it around, but I don't think I'd use them to support the full weight of the kayak.

The shape of the cover is generous in terms of allowing it to fit boats of varying proportions, which is nice. Another one on this site (from Dallas manuf. company) looked too form-fitted to work with our kayak.

So I'm overall positive about this as a cover to keep water and insects out and prevent sun damage, but I hoped for a thicker, more durable fabric. I really like that it has a five year warranty in case any issues come up with its durability. I would buy one of these again.

Been skiing for 35 years, and it took me a long time to adopt the helmet.

This is one of the cheaper helmets, it's not very adjustable, I just lucked out and it fit.

Doesn't really work with the Oakley L FRAME goggles. Need a pair of goggles that's not to tall. I'm SURE Giro has a pair that'll work, but I'll make due.

Can't speak for warmer weather. Have only used it in 15-25 degree days. Was warm enough. Let's see how it does this spring.

NFL Men's San Francisco 49ers Split Applique Full Zip Hood (Greyheather, Small) Review
