I had enough unreliable flashlights and wanted a reliable compact flashlight that used common AA batteries. This light fills the bill 100%. Its not cheap but you get what you pay for. The light output is almost unbelievable and the programmable modes are a nice touch. This is my EDC flashlight and it gets used many times each day at work. I'd rate it a 6 if I could.
