Great shorts. Comfortable, adjustable, lots of pockets. Nice little cell phone pocket that I use instead for reading glasses (getting old). My favorite shorts. I just bought my second pair. They have held up very well so far for backpacking and everyday use. At first I felt as if the fabric seemed a bit thin compared to my canvas shorts. So I thought they'd wear out faster. But they have lasted longer actually.

Tons of use friendly little features that I didn't notice at first. These are the shorts Apple would make if they made iShorts. For instance, there is a soft material sewn on the inner waistband where it rests against your skin. Ahhhh. They fit fairly loosely, but come with a belt, so you can adjust them to fit.

I don't really understand the point of the adjustable straps around the legs. But, strangely enough, I like this feature, and I have taken to tightening them down a good deal. I kind of like the way it looks. But honestly, I don't understand the purpose.

Two complaints though:

Very pricey (iShorts). Fortunately I got a great deal on my second pair through Amazon (about half price). Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought the second pair. You have to watch for sales and then settle for whatever colors are on sale. I'll buy more in the future, but only if I can get a good deal.

The big cargo pockets are pleated, and a number of times I have been walking past something (a cupboard doorknob for instance) and the pleat has caught on it. Over time, I have ripped both pleated pockets this way. Pulled out the seams actually--another indication that the fabric is tough--so I'm sure my wife could stitch them if I asked. I haven't had this happen with other shorts, even with pleated pockets.
