I couldnt find any reviews on this model before I bought it.
But I looked at the other models by Blackhawk and the reviews were positive.
I am very happy that I chose the Sportster, it works great.
I have it mounted to a Remington 700 SPS with a Bell and Carlson Stock.
The rifle is heavy, of course and the "traverse" ability (side to side) is a big advantage.
In the prone position, I can pan left and right and scan a fairly wide area or just reach forward with my left hand and tighten the locking lever to prevent it from moving.
It also tilts left and right, without needing to adjust the legs, if your shooting surface is uneven.
It attaches directly to the strap button without tools and all other adjustments require no tools.
The legs seem to be strong and are sturdy on the ground. No wobble.
Bipods are not very complicated, high tech equipment and if it has strength and does what you want it to do, then you have a winner.
I would not assume that expensive always means better. In this case function and durability is what counts. So far the Sportster has both.
I do recommend.
