We had a similar beach cart which worked well for many years but finally rusted through. We replaced it with this one based on good reviews, but have been very disappointed.

This cart will hold more beach chairs, but they will slide back over the cart opening which further restricts what you can put in there. The main compartment is considerably smaller. Items like boogie boards and skim boards no longer fit.

After a few weeks we have squeaky wheels and we are getting rust where the chairs rest against the support bar. The paint quality must be much lower than before. The umbrella holder is set too low, so the umbrella drags against the right front wheel acting as a brake. I expect the cloth on the holder to wear through very soon. The umbrella strap is just velcro instead of the nice snap closure we had before. It will not support the weight of a large umbrella. The large back wheels are OK on sand but not much better than the soft wheels on the old unit. They also make more noise.

The small front wheels are a disaster in sand. Even on walkways with just an inch of sand you need to drag the cart or lift it to just ride on the rear wheels. They also get stuck in the cracks on a boardwalk. The material used on the front wheels is degrading from the heat of the street. One wheel is already completely gone and looks partly melted.

So, ...if you are looking for a beach cart that you will only move across smooth hard surfaces, and if you will never use it on a hot street, or a rough boardwalk, this might be the product for you. Also remember to leave the umbrella at home, and don't try to carry too much stuff! In summary, it is a big step down from the older beach cart we had. We are very disappointed. Comapred to the old model, this unit is obviously cheapened in every way possible. ...All except the price.
