Cold Stl Code-4 3.5" Tanto Point Review

I really like this knife. I use it as my edc. It rides low in the pocket due to the clip and opens smoothly. Usually I'm a fan of the g10 handle material, but I bought an AK47 knife from cold steel and I found that the g10 makes the clip on that knife practically unusable due to the friction it introduces. Not so with this knife. The clip slips smoothly onto the pocket and it's held securely. The aluminum handle can be a little slick, but for everyday tasks, the finger choils make up for this.

The only downsides for this knife (and the reason I didn't give it five stars) are that the blade feels HUGE. Much more blade than I need for day-to-day work tasks. On the flip side, I wouldn't want to use this in a self-defense situation because I'm pretty sure that if the handle were wet, those finger choils wouldn't necessarily stop my hand from sliding onto the blade. So if you're looking for an everyday utility knife, consider the cold steel tuff lite and if you're looking for a self-defense type blade, consider the fox karambit or the AK-47. This blade falls somewhere in between.
