I got this for my wife for when we go skiing. It's a nice mid-weight base layer that will help (along with your other layers) to keep you toasty when it's cold outside. My wife says it feels comfortable and seems breathable. The few times she got a little too hot and started to sweat it did a good job of wicking away the moisture. It has a nice look to it (though as an under-layer you probably won't see it much). The zipper neck is also useful if you start to get a little too warm since you can zip it down and provide a little cooling without having to remove it. The thumb holes are really useful when putting other long sleeve layers over it to keep the sleeves from bunching up on your arms.

This does seem well made, though like many other shirts made to wick away moisture the material can easily get snagged on materials like Velcro and start to get a loose string. That's not unique to this shirt though, but just be aware. While this is a little more expensive than some other similar shirts I think it is better than average construction and you usually get what you pay for.
