Add "tactical" to a description and it'll sell. Anyway, bought the shirt and was once again impressed by the way no one designing Woolrich shirts seems to have ever worn one. Pockets, pockets everywhere, but only the two "normal" breast pockets make any sense. I suppose one could carry a notebook or map in one or another of the three zippered pockets.

Much mention is made of this shirt on the many "concealed carry" forums on the web. But the shirt isn't particularly good for that. It doesn't drape, but bunches over the butt of a pistol carried on or in the belt, emphasizing its location. And it's got tails - something one doesn't need for a shirt that will be generally worn untucked. The button down collar is cut wrong and doesn't lay flat. The second button from the top is too high and feels constricting on the neck. Material is light and comfortable and workmanship is adequate for a shirt made in China or Sri Lanka or wherever (I cut off the tag that stuck out of the lower placket, and can't remember place of assembly).

All that given, the shirt is about as good as any other "tactical" shirts, with the biggest sales point being that it's "tactical." I think "tactical" bumps the price of an otherwise cheap shirt about 40%.

Wouldn't recommend it to my friends. I would recommend Carhartt, Dickeys or any of the traditional work clothing brands, provided they don't offer and charge for useless pockets. At least you'll know they will fit and last a long time.
