Okay, I'll confess...I bought this set for the color. I already had a perfectly acceptable (US Divers) mask and snorkel, but I couldn't resist. I'm a casual snorkeler, maybe once or twice a year when I travel to Mexico and I've always rented or borrowed fins because I didn't want to pack them. Truth be told, I've never been particularly happy with my mask -- I've always had minor fogging and leaking issues and it wasn't terribly comfortable. I've now got two trips to the Riviera Maya coming up in the next few months and when I saw this set -- nice color and "feminine features" (my other mask was just black and blocky looking)...well, it was just too cute.

I carefully did the toothpaste pre-treatment of the mask - 7 times, as recommended -- which I hadn't done before for my other mask. Just tried the whole set out in our pool today and what a difference! Mask is comfortable and crystal clear (I did use a baby shampoo/water mixture for de-fogging just prior) and there was no leakage. The fins are really comfortable; I can't really comment on their power since I was in a pool, but they seemed to work just fine. I did get a little water in the snorkel when I tried some dives -- so not quite as good as my previous snorkel -- but not life-threatening and very easy to deal with. Straps and everything seem solid -- the snorkel hooks up to the mask easily but securely -- no problems with any adjustments.

I'm really looking forward to using this set for my trips; it's extremely packable, especially the short fins. If anything comes up, I'll update my review, but I'm pretty confident at this point that it will just be to change it from 4 stars to 5. The included bag is cute, tho' since it doesn't have a pocket for keeping other stuff (hotel keys, etc.) I'll probably use something else down there and only use it for storage.
