Why change a good thing? It wasn't broken. Why "fix" it?I have been buying this bag for over 15 years. Probably had 10 or more of them. They change periodically, of course. I understand tweaking your products occasionally to keep them fresh, although I would be perfectly happy if it was exactly the same in 2013 as it was in 1997.
HOWEVER. What would possess you to switch the belt buckle from the right side of the bag to the left? SO AWKWARD. I guess for people who've never had one before, they wouldn't notice the difference....? But for your loyal customers like me-- I hate this feature. It makes me mad and slows me down and frustrates me every time I put it on, which is about 4 times a day. And every time I take it off. And every time I think about it. Maybe it's better for left-handed people, which is cool, but what about the rest of the huge majority of the planet?
I like the light-color fabric interior. That was in fact a good idea.
I miss the clip-on keychain from long ago, and the little independent mesh pocket in the large compartment that was more recent. The new zippers seem good, although only time will tell, as that's been the wear-out point of every one of these I've ever had.
It's still a rugged little bag, with a decent format, although this isn't the best interior layout it's ever had. But the belt buckle thing.... I keep hoping that I got a mistake that was sewn backwards but somehow made it past QC inspection.
